This page provides popular Bible study topics based on internet searches. Our intent is to simply offer a menu of topics for the Christian leader looking for ideas for a topical Bible study. We'll also post Bible studies on these topics with links from this page as we develop this site. Look for the links on the topics listed on this page for the Bible study lessons as we develop them.
Here's some topical Bible Studies we've developed. Just click on a link below to get started.
You can logically and biblically make a case for starting all topical Bible studies with an understanding of who God is first.
This is because an understanding of God and your relationship to him is necessary to first understand your need to be born again; and secondly, what He wishes you to know from His Holy Word.
Other people from both the Old and New Testaments are popular topics for Bible study. You may want to visit our Women of the Bible study page. Here's over a dozen of the most popular topics currently based on internet searches:
Here are the topics related to the Christian walk or life. You might think that some of these are related to the other categories and you would be correct. We've included the topic Holy Spirit here and in the category below of "God and People". We did this because we feel it's a broad enough topic that it could be studied from two different angles.
Also, there's enough in the Bible on the topic of faith that you could develop three totally different Bible studies on that same topic. In the table below we demonstrate this in the topics of: 1) faith; 2) faith in action; and 3) faith vs works.
These topics are typically related to a single Scripture passage. However, not all are found in a single passage. For instance, the topic of Good Friday can be found in all of the four Gospels.
Other topics are seasonal such as Christmas or Thanksgiving. Here you could make a case that the Christmas topic here could also be in the above category and that Good Friday should be in this category and you would be right. It makes no difference in the long run how these topics are categorized, it just makes sense to provide the Bible student information to facilitate their study.
It’s often more difficult to prepare a teaching or sermon on a biblical topic than a particular passage or book of the Bible. This is because you must make sure to cross-reference all the passages on the topic to ensure you’re covered the topic thoroughly. Often that’s a time and resource consuming task.
It‘s easier to simple prepare a lesson or sermon from a passage of Scripture such as one of the Bible‘s 66 different books. Of course you can cross-reference in those situations, but more often than not you can simply cover the topic presented there in the text.
And if you work through all of the books of the Bible, then you’ll cover every possible topic there is (eventually). We prefer to work through a particular book of the Bible in our teachings here at Biblefied.com but understand the demand and need for topical teachings.
We trust God will guide you in your decision to find something to study and teach. May He be glorified in whatever your decision may be.
We pray this page provides you insight into the types of topical Bible studies in demand today so that you might have a better idea what to teach and study.
